Updated 16/8/24 with opening date
Eagle-eyed Hot Dinners readers have spotted that there are signs of life in the currently empty restaurant site that used to be Neighbourhood on Islington Green. Turns out that it's going to be the next branch of the popular sushi spot Sticks'n'Sushi.
It's a large old space so there's going to be an open plan dining room, space to eat up at the kitchen counter along with a separate lounge and bar and plenty of outdoor seating.
If you haven't made it down to one of their branches so far you can expect dishes like:
- Black Cod house roll
- Fried cauliflower with black truffle goma
- Wagyu tartare with caviar
- Miso-cured Iberico secreto sticks
They go big on the drinks side of things too with a range of cocktails, their own-label beer and an extensive selection of sake. There aren't that many sushi spots in Islington, oddly, so this should do well.
