Hawthorn restaurant comes to Kew, taking over The Glasshouse space

Hawthorn restaurant comes to Kew, taking over The Glasshouse space

Last year, The Glasshouse closed in Kew after 23 years. If you're wondering what's going to be taking its place, we have the answer - Hawthorn.

In the kitchen is chef Joshua Hunter, who's been at Kitchen W8, Murano and La Trompette among others. Although what's got us most interested is that he's also cooked for A-list celebs like the Beckhams and Tom Cruise. Might he get a few stars to pop into the restaurant?

There's no information on the menu just yet, but we're told it will be focused on European cuisine and will be all about "simple, unfussy dishes that prioritise flavour and combine his passion for British game and wild food."

Front of house will be Patra Panas, who's been at La Trompette as well as The Glasshouse before, so there will be some continuity here.

That's all we know for now - we'll add details about the menu as we get them.
