Pretty much every coffee shop in London boasts of serving a fresh cup of coffee, but the new one that's opened up at Selfridges shows you just how fresh it really is.

Roasting Plant have just launched their immersive roastery in the Selfridges Foodhall. The Willy Wonka meets Heath Robinson contraption means shoppers can choose their favourite beans by smell, and then see it whizzing through the air in pneumatic tubes before it makes its way through the barristas. There are seven single origin beans and four blends so you can get the perfect personalised cup of coffee.

If you're an iced coffee fan you'll also want to try their their FlashChilled coffee. The coffee's temperature is brought down to zero when served so you don't get it diluted by having to add ice.

As the store's Head of Food, Andrew Bird says: "Visitors will have an immersive experience from roasting to their custom made cup, be able to try unique and interesting beans that aren’t available anywhere else and have their perfect brew created on the spot.”
