Italian and Japanese deli Vallebona pops up in Coal Drops Yard

vallebona coal drops yard king's cross

Interesting foodie news for anyone near King's Cross. Wonderful foodie store Vallebona has just opened a pop-up shop down at Coal Drops Yard.

Run by Stefano Vallebona and his wife Naoko, the company - which began life as a stall in Borough Market back in the 90s - has for a while been a major foodie destination down in Wimbledon. It supplies all manner of amazing Italian and Japanese produce, and does a roaring trade with chefs and restaurants - working with the likes of the River Cafe, Michel Roux Jr, Adam Byatt and Jacob Kenedy.

So, if you're after small batch panettones from Turin or four year old soy sauce from Shodoshima Island that was recently higlighted on Samin Nosrat's Netflix show Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat then this is the place for that.

The Coal Drop Yard store will sell all manner of interesting ingredients plus luxury gifts and hampers - which is going to be useful in the run up to (yes we are mentioning the word now) Christmas.
