If you've ever tried chef Maria Elia's food, then you'll know that her upcoming three week residency at Great Guns Social in Southwark is worth pencilling in the diary.
The globetrotting chef and author (she's launched restaurants in California and done pop-ups in Rwanda) is planning a modern Greek menu for her return to London. Dishes will include:
- Savoury Baklavas
- Moussaka Croquettes
- Bream with pourgouri, cherries and mint
- Octopus and caper gnocchi
- Kataifi wrapped figs with baklava nuts and fig-leaf panna cotta.
The residency, which kicks off on 4 June will also serve up a light lunch menu, handy if you work nearby, and if you fancy getting a whole gang together to go down, there's also a feasting option with a whole slow roast shoulder of lamb accompanied by an array of dips, salads and sides.
