London already has a load of new terraces and outside spaces this summer, but Bourne and Hollingsworth have several killer USPs that they're banking on to make their new Hoxton summer experience, Beautiful Allotment, a must-visit. To start with, guests who book their summer countryside takeover of the gardens at The Geffrye Museum will be able to kick things in proper Countryfile style, getting picked up in a tractor pulling a vintage trailer complete with botanical bar on board.
The gardens themselves will get a complete makeover - aiming to bring urbanites stuck in the city for the summer a little taste of the English countryside. So there'll be potting sheds, vegetable patches, BBQ areas and even ‘garden-tenders’ roaming the grounds with wheelbarrow bars.
Although groups of four or under can walk in, it does sound as if this more of a group thing - so if you're planning a party, this sounds like it could be just the thing. You'll be able to book those potting sheds, garden domes or day beds - even a tree house - and there will be long flower tables and polytunnels bookable for larger gatherings.
The drinks team are promising a cocktail list of seasonal drinks using ingredients grown on the grounds. As for food - that'll be mainly BBQ along with platters of vegan, vegetarian, fish and meat options.
And look out for special events throughout the summer including movie nights and live music.
