• King’s Cross Spanish quarter to expand with pop-up Bar El Rincón

  The Camino restaurant group, which already has several Spanish tapas bars and restaurants across London, is opening a pop-up called Bar El Rincón in Vanishers Yard in Kings Cross.

• The Patate comes to Kentish Town with their beef bourguignon in a bun

  

  They've been serving up their beef bourguignon buns across town and now The Patate are about to settle down with their first permanent restaurant in Kentish Town. 

• Happy comes to London, taking over the old TGI Fridays Piccadilly space

   

  There's a new restaurant opening in the place of the big ex-TGI Friday's site in Piccadilly - it's Bulgarian chain Happy. They were set up in 1994, have 20 restaurants in Bulgaria and two more in Barcelona

  Is there room in Brixton for more fried chicken? The folk at BIRD are hoping so, as they've just opened their sixth restaurant, on Electric Avenue.
