• Clapham's Studio Voltaire is reopening with a new café from Italian Supper Club

  

  Clapham art gallery Studio Voltaire is reopening after a major £2.8 million redevelopment and as part of that, they're also launching a brand new cafe. Called The Café at Studio Voltaire (yes, that's fairly on the nose).

  It'll be run by the people behind Italian Supper Club (who are also behind Da Henrietta at the Henrietta Hotel in Covent Garden). They'll be running a seasonal menu

• Le Petit Beefbar hits Chelsea

  

  The latest global restaurant chain to arrive in London is Beefbar. The meaty menu restaurant first opened in Monaco and since then has grown with branches in Saint-Tropez, Milan, Mykonos and Sao Paolo - which might give you an indication of what to expect. Here in London they've landed on Chelsea for their first UK opening, which is a bit of a diffusion line for the group as it's called Le Petit Beefbar.

  Following up from the opening of Kanishka in Mayfair, Atul Kochhar has taken over a huge space in Westminster for his next restaurant, Mathura.

• Anglo chef Mark Jarvis brings 1771 to Belgravia

  

  The man behind Anglo, Mark Jarvis, is getting ready to open his next restaurant, 1771 - taking over the space from Liv (which also had a menu by Jarvis). In its new guise, the menu aims to offer "refined, creative cooking using carefully grown locally sourced produce".

  A single tasting menu will be available, much like Anglo and will kick off with:

• Warehouse in Covent Garden sees ex-Silo chef open The Conduit Club's first public restaurant

  

  Sustainability is such an easy buzzword for London restaurants to bandy about, but when it's used by a chef who used to head up the kitchen at Silo, you can feel pretty confident he knows what he's talking about.

• Jolene neighbourhood bakeries to open in Angel, Shoreditch and Hackney

  It's been two years since they opened their flagship restaurant in Chinatown. Now Jinli's Chendu-born restaurateur Yi Fei is heading to North London. He's just opened the restaurant group's fifth restaurant, on Camden's High Street by Mornington Crescent.

• Gordon Ramsay is opening The River Restaurant at The Savoy

  Big news over at The Savoy today where Gordon Ramsay is opening a second restaurant at the landmark London hotel.

  The chef will be taking over The River Restaurant, in the space that's currently Kaspar's. Chef Matt Worswick, who's also the executive chef at Ramsay's other Savoy restaurant, the Savoy Grill, will be running the kitchen there
