Having stormed the Marylebone scene with their sushi spot, Mayha, the Lebanese restaurant group behind that are now gearing up to open Meat The Fish in the heart of Chelsea.
Picked out by the World's 50 Best Discovery list and praised for their amazing sandwiches, Meat The Fish is a grocery delivery service turned restaurant chain that's hoping to serve London with dishes made using the best premium produce. Of course, you can't do that without getting the best food suppliers on board, and with Natoora, HG Walter and Wright Brothers already signed up they appear to have that in hand.
It's going to be an all-day place and right from the start, breakfast is sounding good with options like a breakfast taco and miso egg salad sandwich on offer.
At lunch and dinner, the raw bar comes into action where there will be oysters alongside a tartare or carpaccio of the day. Signature dishes from the Beirut original have also made the journey including:
- Unagi donburi
- Black prawn bao
- Merguez dog
And we're not going to lie there's one dessert which has certainly piqued our interest - the salted chocolate crisps with olive oil ice cream.
As for the restaurant itself, it's taken over the old Poilane cafe site on Cadogan Gardens but it sounds like they've totally transformed the place with a large central bar for counter dining and drinking.
