So yes, we're pretty confident that the arrival of Dave's Hot Chicken in Croydon this month is going to get a warm welcome, despite all the local competition.

Rap duo Krept and Konan are diversifying their brand, getting into the supermarket business for the first time. More specifically they're opening a huge store in Croydon called Saveways which they say will celebrate "cultural diversity through food while setting a new standard for halal and world food retailing in the UK."

The team behind Birch in Hertfordshire is gearing up for a second launch, and this time they've brought in top chef Lee Westcott to take charge of the food. Selsdon, the group's new hotel and club in South Croydon is another grand old house that's getting Birch's laid-back boho hotel treatment.

They're huge on YouTube and their delivery service is pretty popular too (apparently they have over 100 kitchens globally including India and the USA). Now The Sidemen are getting ready to unveil their second real-life venue, this time in Boxpark Croydon.

Having spent the summer on ITV's Cooking with the Stars, DJ and producer Naughty Boy is heading to Croydon for a two week restaurant residency.

The Naughty Boy Kitchen popup will hit BOXPARK Croydon serving up a range of dishes and drinks that, we're told, will celebrate "the collision of his British upbringing and Pakistani heritage".
