Now this is interesting - Shake Shack have brought in Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains for a burger collaboration. It's the first since they teamed up with Massimo Bottura this time last year, so we'd say this looks like becoming an annual tradition.

The limited edition burger collaboration will be served up at the Covent Garden Shack for one day only - Friday, 9th October.

It's almost exactly a year since Barrafina Adelaide Street opened to a great response (and many awards). With the Hart brothers opening a third on Drury Lane we dodged the queues to try the new one out.

The trend for single ingredient-led restaurants continues with the news that one devoted to the chip is heading our way. Come Fry with Me is going to be touring festivals and markets over the summer before opening up a permanent place in Covent Garden. In keeping with its name it'll have a 1960s air travel themed decor and fries arriving on a ‘fry carousel’ conveyor belt.

If you like your fish and chips high-end, then make a date for Krug & Chips, a gourmet chipper popping up in Covent Garden this summer. The champagne house has teamed up with Michelin starred chef Tom Sellers or restaurant Story.

Sellers has come up with his own particular take - Fish in Chips. Diners will be able to choose from three dishes; a potato ravioli with fish in tartar sauce, Monkfish cheek curry with matchstick fries and Lobster claw wrapped in potato

If you're a fan of Barrafina (and what food-loving Londoner isn't) then we bring you tidings of glad, glad joy. Come this summer, a third Barrafina will open in Covent Garden. The new Barrafina Drury Lane will have 23 stools - exactly the same as the original on Frith Street - but like Adelaide Street will also have a private dining room downstairs.
