Founded in Chengdu in 2013, Da Long Yi is known for its Sichuan hot pot and broad selection of broths. At its Berners Street restaurant, diners can choose from close to ten soup bases, ranging from signature spicy options, and a lighter clear-oil mala broth to gentler choices like mushroom and tomato, along with other rich and regional flavours.
There’s plenty of flexibility too, with full pots, half-and-half combinations and three-way split pots all available. From there, guests can build their own feast with sliced meats, seafood, vegetables and handmade specialities, all cooked at the table. It works just as well for date night and family meals as it does for celebrations, business dinners and bigger group gatherings.
