Mark Hix's original chicken and steak venture Tramshed has been a big hit in Shoreditch, since spawning a City successor, Hixter. Now he's continuing to roll that out with a new Hixter coming to Bankside, round the corner from Tate Modern, this Summer (and with more Hixters waiting in the wings).

Once again, it's a huge space (7000 sq ft) and, like the cow at Tramshed, the main room will be dominated by artwork. This time they're promising "show-stopping artwork" from Tim Noble and Sue Webster (so you can expect something like this). All within an old Victorian tin box printing factory - you can see a preview of that on the right.
Otherwise, the basic premise remains the same as the previous restaurants - a whole roast chicken, with chips and salad for 2-3 persons for £25 or steaks of 250 and 500g to share from £20. It'll also have a Mark's Bar in the basement.
Hixter Bankside is open now at the Metal Box Factory, Great Guildford Street, Bankside, SE1. For more information, follow them on Twitter @hixterbankside
