KooKoo brings healthy lunches to Camden from the people behind Hook

What: KooKoo

In a nutshell: Deli from the people behind Hook

Summing it all up: Camden gets a new healthy daytime spot to pep up lunches with salads, gluten-free wraps and more from the folk who run Hook on Parkway.

The low-down

Camden's seafood restaurant Hook has been pretty popular over the years and now they're getting ready to open their next spot - the deli KooKoo. They've carved up their current space on Camden's Parkway, splitting it into separate restaurants for both Hook and KooKoo.

KooKoo which will only be open between 11am to 6pm, is billed as serving up healthy lunchtime food. So if you're in Camden, this could be your new lunch spot. There's 15 spaces to eat in, although it's primarily a takeaway place.

And certainly if your lunches have been lacklustre of late, the food here sounds like it would completely give your colleagues envy if you brought this back to the office. The menu includes a range of rather nice salads like curry roasted cauliflower, heritage tomato and pickled fennel salad or maybe smoked applewood dressed baby gem with pickled onion and apple. Then you can pump that up with some added protein like rump steak chimichurri, a vegan burger, or salmon with wasabi and lime.

They'll also be serving up a range of gluten-free charcoal and coconut wraps and desserts that include a Chai Tea Chai pud.
