A few more tantalising details have emerged today about the new Hawksmoor restaurant opening in Seven Dials this Autumn.
In addition to all the usual meaty goodness you’d expect from a Hawksmoor offering, the Covent Garden branch will apparently also feature a Josper grill for seafood so they’re promising some new dishes such as grilled Dublin Bay Prawns or Hand-dived Scallops on the new menu.
Both the Hawskmoor Hamburger and Hkmuffin will be available all day long from the bar menu as well as a new item – the Hawskmoor Hot Dog, which according to a spokesperson ‘is currently in an intense Research and Development phase.’ Now that sounds like the kind of research we'd happy participate in.
Hot Dinners is already a fan of Hawksmoor’s cocktails, so we’re pleased to hear that the bar manager at the Spitalfields branch, Pete Jeary, is working hard on a new cocktail list which will be ‘drawing heavily on the pre-Prohibition, golden era of American cocktails.'
Update: Hawskmoor Seven Dials will open on 1 November 2010.
