Duck, gruyere, and fermented ginger: the Tom Sellers Sub from Sub Cult is here.

Duck, gruyere, and fermented ginger: the Tom Sellers Sub from Sub Cult is here.

When Michelin-starred chefs meet street food specialists, it seems only amazing things can happen. The Sellers Sub is a new sandwich that’s the lovechild of Tom Sellers from Michelin-starred Story and Sub Cult, and even the description packs a punch.

It’ll consist of Asian-fusion duck sausage, Gruyere cheese, cucumber relish, fermented ginger mustard, spring onions, watercress and five-spice salt, and cost you £9.

You’ll be able to get your hands on one for three weeks only, from 3-18 December, and even then only at the weekends. On Saturdays, they’ll be down south in Brockley Market, while on Sunday head to the Soul Roller van at Maltby Street Market. On the 3 December, north Londoners will also be able to take advantage of the Sellers Sub one-off appearance at the Beavertown Brewery in Tottenham Hale.

If you're not quite feeling the Sellers Sub, there'll be some Sub Cult classics as well, including the Rodeo Sub with aged, rare sirloin and truffle mayo, or the Sub Marine, with scallops, calamari, and seasoned roast pork shoulder.

Find the Tom Sellers sub at Sub Cult from 3-18 December on Saturdays at Maltby Street Market & Beavertown Brewery. For more, follow them on Twitter @SubCultSubs.
