Gordon Ramsay is getting ready to open his restaurant at Sea Containers

While the bar at Sea Containers, Lyaness by Ryan Chetiyawardana, is one of the very best in London, the restaurant at the hotel has never managed to have the same cut through. But now they're trying something new as they've brought in none other than Gordon Ramsay to launch Gordon Ramsay at Sea Containers.

Gordon's new space will be an all-day restaurant that will also have one of the best riverside terraces in town. Now we have a few more details about what Gordon has planned for the restaurant. He'll be leaning into the hotel's name and launching a menu that has a focus on seafood. So we're told to expect Fruits de Mer platters, Whole Native Lobster, and Cornish Crab Tagliolini on the menu here. But it's not all seafood, so there will be the chef's signature Beef Wellington, for example, as well as steaks. And there will be an "Idiot Sandwich Flight" apparently. 

As for dessert, it will be all about British classics like sticky toffee pudding and strawberry trifle as well as a chocolate dessert with olive oil, sea salt, and toasted sourdough.

Ramsay has had mixed success with his recent openings. Everything at 22 Bishopsgate has been a clear success, but his opening of the first London Hell's Kitchen was met with decidedly poor reviews. So we'll have to see where this one falls.
