It's all change over in Primrose Hill, where the social enterprise restaurant Home Kitchen, run by Adam Simmonds, has changed both names and chefs. It'll now be known as 130 Primrose and it's brought in another top chef in the form of Monica Galetti.
The TV chef is behind a new all-day menu at the restaurant, but will also be playing a key position in the business's other role, to hire and train up people who've been affected by homelessness and those in addiction recovery.
"My first task is to create an exciting new menu that attracts customers to support our mission - celebrating the best British seasonal ingredients with a little twist of fun," says Monica. "Later, I’ll weave in touches of my Samoan heritage, giving our trainees a unique development opportunity and helping them to stand out when they move on in their career in hospitality."
Since Home Kitchen closed last summer they've brought in designers to give the restaurant a modern new look. To that end the ground floor will be a light-filled brasserie while downstairs is still being reworked into a speakeasy cocktail bar that will open a few weeks later.
