Rum Kitchen is revived in Camden

There have been some changes at Rum Shack of late, with the group now owned by The Rhumshack Group, who also own Cottons. After that happened, all the previous Rum Kitchens closed, but now they're about to open the first new restaurant and bar under the new ownership, this time in Camden.

Taking over a space that used to be Ma Petite Jamiaca, this will be a restaurant and late-night bar, with a menu that features beach shack-style food. That means snacks like salt cod fritters, oxtail croquettes and coconut prawns and bigger dishes of curried mutton and Jamaican fried chicken as well as a dedicated jerk section featuring ribs, wings and boneless chicken.

On the drinks side, rum will be the main draw, of course, with cocktails including the Jamrock Punch, made with Appleton Signature and Koko Kanu shaken with exotic fruits. They're also aiming to have the largest selection of rum in the capital.
