The Devonshire takes the top spot at the UK's Top 50 Gastropubs 2026 awards

The Devonshire takes the top spot at the UK's Top 50 Gastropubs 2026 awards

They were threatening the top spot last year, having gone straight in at number two, but this year The Devonshire was crowned the number one gastropub in the country by the Uk Top 50 Gastropubs awards. The chart topper for the last two years, The Unruly Pig still had a very good showing at number 2 and it was also a great year for one of our favourite pubs, The Red Lion and Sun, which climbed up to number three.

Of the new entries, The Hero at Maida saw the Public House Group get onto the list for the first time, The Knave of Clubs is at 43 and it was a good year for the team behind The Baring, as their new sister pub, The Kerfield Arms also made it onto the list. Somewhat surprisingly, The Tamil Prince was exchanged for The Tamil Crown.
