Nicolas Rouzaud is opening Le Café in Burlington Arcade

It is a boom time for cafes and bakeries at the moment. Recently, we've had the very successful opening of Onsu in Soho and this week, we're also getting the new Claridge's Bakery. Now it turns out that we're also getting a new cafe from a chef who has made his name at Claridge's sister hotel, The Connaught. 

Nicolas Rouzaud, who runs Nicolas Rouzaud at The Connaught, is getting ready to open his solo London opening, Le Café in Burlington Arcade. That's not too far from The Connaught itself, but much handier if you're heading down Piccadilly. 

Exactly what's planned for the space is still under wraps at the time of writing, but sneak previews on Instagram showcase a beautifully designed look that's heavy on the red. As for the food front, you can expect the kings of beautifully designed pastries that Rouzaud has been turning out at The Connaught for the past few years. It's also likely to only be the first Le Café to open in London as he has more planned for the future (and in Paris too).
