Pierre Koffmann is back in the kitchen for one night, at Sollip

pierre koffmann sollip dinner

A chef's chef, Pierre Koffmann is someone who is credited by almost too many London chefs to name as a key inspiration in their own culinary journeys. Chefs who trained under him at Tante Claire and Koffmann's include Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing, Marco Pierre White, Jason Atherton - the list goes on.

Having 'retired' a decade ago after the closure of his restaurant at The Berkeley, Koffmann is back cooking for one night with another of his mentees, Woongchul Park of Sollip. Not only that, but the pair are being joined by Chef Claude Lamarche (former Head Pastry Chef at La Tante Claire, currently Executive Pastry Chef at The Arts Club) who in turn was mentor to Woongchl's wife, and Sollip's co-founder, pastry chef Bomee Ki.

A Tribute to the Masters: Mentorship Dinner with Chef Pierre Koffmann & Claude Lamarche will take place at Sollip in Bermondsey on Thursday, 19 February 2026 and will, Woongchul tells us be "reinterpreting the masters' great Gascon legacy through the eyes of their students at Sollip".

The dinner menu will consist of six courses, snack, and mignardise. "We have selected iconic dishes representing the masters' philosophies," he explains, "and reinterpreted them with Sollip's aesthetic. It captures the balance between the classical depth of Gascon cuisine and our contemporary sensibility."

If you've never had the pleasure of trying Pierre's cooking this would be an excellent opportunity. Tickets go on sale on Friday 23 January.
