Restaurateur Martin Kuczmarski is a busy man. Just days after opening Martino's, his follow-up restaurant to The Dover, in Chelsea he's at it again. Now he's gearing up to open another space on Dover Street, just a few doors down from his OG restaurant.
Dover Street Counter sounds like it'll be much more of a playful, casual spot. They're pitching it as "a place to drop in - and likely stay longer than planned." To that end the offering will be a mix of the kind of easy dishes you might fancy, so disco fries, buttermilk fried chicken with the odd grilled lobster for a luxe upgrade.
The whole thing is giving a 1950s Los Angeles vibe but with a playlist that's 90s R&B and soul. Cocktails sound fun, so along with a load of takes on the margarita they'll also be serving up cosmos and mojitos too.
Crucially they've got a decent late licence, so the restaurant and bar will be open until 1am Monday to Wednesday and 2am from Thursday to Saturday.
