A few weeks ago, we reported on the team behind Brother Marcus taking over The Blind Pig in Soho for their new bar, Kamara. At the time, as that involved the upstairs area only, we said it seemed likely that downstairs, where Social Eating House was, would be another Brother Marcus - and that's exactly what's opening there.
If you've come across Brother Marcus restaurants before, you'll know what to expect - a focus on Eastern Mediterranean food, and a particularly strong brunch offering. Those brunch dishes include their Smoky Shakshuka and sweet potato, courgette & feta fritters. Meanwhile, the all-day menu features dishes like roasted chicken, sun-dried tomato harissa, fresh herb salad, labneh & nigella seeds.
A few new things will appear at this location, like a new set lunch deal and pre-theatre offer, and there will be a pretty large 14-seater private dining room. Kamara above remains the truly new addition, but if you're a fan of Brother Marcus, there's one more in town to check out.
