It's all change for Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver's teeny bakery in Neal's Yard with the news that they're on the move to bigger and better premises. The good thing is that fans of their custard doughnuts and amazing bread won't have to go too far to find the new bakery. They're moving just across the yard to a much bigger and better space. "It will not be long now until our breads and wines are piled high once more," they told customers.
And while they're keeping relatively schtum about the plans for the new space, it is a lot bigger than the old site and split across two floors, so there's definitely going to be room to sit in. But will this be a bakery 2.0 or a new restaurant? They have applied (and got) a booze license which allows for both the selling bottles of St John rosé to take home, and to sip in which is a heartening sign.
We'll bring you more news on this when we hear something.
