There's no shame in admitting that, like the joys of a foreign supermarket, one of the fun things about being abroad is seeing what's different in each country's McDonald's. The good news is that from this week, you'll be able to roam the world's Maccie D's without having to leave London at all.
The fast food giant has conducted a World Menu Heist and nabbed eight menu items from four continents, all of which will be available in your local branch from this week.
Dishes from Canada, Poland and Indonesia are among the items that have made it into the limited menu, which kicks off on Wednesday 22 October. Here's the full list.
- Maple BBQ & Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada. A North American twist which includes creamy Maple BBQ sauce
- Pineapple McSpicy® from Australia - a spicy chicken burger with a pineapple slice
- Garlic & Black Pepper McNuggets® from Japan, comes with a garlic & soy mayo dip
- Sour Cream & Black Pepper McShaker Fries from Poland which comes with a sachet of sour cream & black pepper seasoning
- Mac & Cheese Triangles from The UAE - crispy pasta and cheddar cheese bites
- Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, with molten caramel and chocolate ganache in the centre
- Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry® from Malaysia - soft serve swirled with crunchy pretzel pieces with either a chocolate or caramel sauce.
- Sakura x Sprite® from Japan - Sprite Zero meets sugar-free Sakura syrup
We're already eyeing up those Japanese nuggets and Malaysian McFlurry...
