Italian restaurant Babbo is migrating to St John's Wood

Italian restaurant Babbo is migrating to St John's Wood

You might recall that there once was an Italian restaurant Babbo in Mayfair. It closed a few years back, saying it was going to be a temporary closure and sure enough, Babbo is returning - albeit in a brand new location.

It's the latest restaurant to set its sights on St John's Wood (with Belgravia stalwart Motcombs opening there too). At their new space (taking over the space which once held Harry Morgan's), they plan to be an all-day Italian dining affair, with things kicking off at breakfast.

As for the menu, that's yet to be completely revealed, but we're told it will include their Babbo parmagiana, angel hair white ragout, lardo di colonnata and spaghettone gragnano with chilli mussels.

In addition to the restaurant, there will be a bar and lounge area, so this could be a handy drinks pitstop in the area, with a Sage Cherry Negroni promised for the cocktail list. There will be a large terrace outside too, and given its winter opening, that'll be heated from the outset.

That's all we know for the moment - we'll add more details closer to the opening date.
