11/9/24 - updated with more information and the opening date
We've already seen Marceline open on the top floor of the huge floating building next to Hawksmoor in Canary Wharf, now comes the loser floor as the new Hovarda gets ready to open. This is the Canary Wharf outpost of Aegean restaurant Hovarda, which has been serving up Med-style dishes in Soho for the past seven years.
Once again, the menu here focuses on the Aegean, specifically Greece and Turkey, with dishes including:
- Tuna tartare with avocado, verjus, and roasted cashew
- Crab borek with lemon mayo
- Kleftiko lamb with roasted potatoes
- Lobster pasta in a rich lobster bisque
This will be a little different to the other restaurants and bars in the area in that it will have a late licence, opening until 2am. They'll be bringing in DJs until late so it could end up being a very handy new late-night destination in Canary Wharf.
