Fallow comes to Canary Wharf with Roe

Fallow comes to Canary Wharf with Roe

2/4/24 - Updated with the opening date

We've known for a while that the team behind Fallow were opening in Canary Wharf and now we know what the restaurant will be called - Roe.

Similar to Fallow (and chicken spin-off FOWL), it'll be a nose-to-tail affair with a goal of championing "underappreciated produce". Here's a taster of the menu:

  • Maitake Cornish Pasty with shiitake mushrooms and fresh thyme grown in-house
  • Baked Potato cooked in kombu stock, served with walnut and truffle ketchup, topped with crispy seaweed
  • Black Pudding and Pork Belly Skewers, glazed with fermented plum sauce
  • The Roe Mixed Grill featuring underused cuts of venison 3 ways – grilled marinated haunch, confit shoulder and a venison skewer

Larger than the St James restaurant, it'll fit in 350 people including a chef's table and terrace overlooking the canal, with a no-waste approach taken to the design. And much like the mushrooms grown in St James, this restaurant will have an aeroponic green wall system where they'll grow herbs, pes, Padron peppers and chillies.
