Berners Tavern co-stars in Marvel's Secret Invasion TV series

Whenever we see restaurants appear in a movie or TV show that's filmed in London, we immediately go into detective mode and try to work out the location. Sometimes it turns out to be simply a film set created for the production (this was the case in Marvel's last "London-based" TV show Moon Knight) but occasionally it's somewhere really obvious.

And that's the case with the next big Marvel TV show Secret Invasion. Because, in the trailer below, the room that's been cleared for a meeting with Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury and Don Cheadle's James Rhodes is very clearly Berners Tavern in Fitzrovia (albeit shot in a reverse angle from the usual photos of the room). Yes, there's also an appearance from Senate House and the upstairs room at RIBA on Portland Place in the trailer, but it's Berners that gets the prime position.

There's also a small glimpse of Fury emerging onto Brixton's Electric Lane, so here's hoping we get a few more scenes from that area too.

There's a pub in the trailer - but we're going to guess that's a set. Although they were shooting in Scotland too, so if it is a real place, let us know. We'll certainly be keeping our eyes out when the show airs next year for more London cameos.
