News has broken that furniture maze Ikea will be coming to Oxford Street. So that's good news for those of you who fancy getting on a bus home with a huge box of flat-packed Billy bookcases but most importantly there will also be a cafe there.
They've taken over the landmark Top Shop site on Oxford Circus (currently made to look like a massive Ikea bag) and it will make a big difference to Londoners who don't fancy having to trek out to the Brent Cross Ikea or anywhere else that is nowhere near a tube station.
While it will be very handy indeed to easily restock on Ikea tumblers, there's only one thing we really want to know - will there be meatballs? Apparently, the answer is yes - there will be room for a restaurant so that you can get as many meatballs, chips and lingonberry sauce as you can possibly handle. Think the queue for the restaurant in the big Ikeas can get bad? Wait until this one opens.
