Americans really like Notting Hill, it seems. Is it because of the movie? It's hard to say but what we do know is that another well known New York restaurant is making its way to London and landing in Notting Hill, Sunday in Brooklyn.
First spotted by Eater, it's the second big New York restaurant to come to Notting Hill in recent months following Buvette and also follows American hit Eggslut which also started here a couple of years back. The original Sunday restaurant was launched back in 2016 by chef Jaime Young, who had previously been at NYC hit Atera.
The name heavily implies that brunch will be a big thing and that's cemented by the dish that it's best known for - the Sunday pancakes with hazelnut maple praline and brown butter. Expect these to pop up on Instagram and TikTok quite a bit when it opens up over here.
There are burgers and sandwiches on the evening menu but the bunch menu is clearly where it's at. Here's a taste of the New York version:
The location is still TBC - we'll update as soon as we know more.
