Meal kits and boxes are very much the rage at the moment - and if you're looking for something with a special touch this might be the very thing. Core by Clare Smyth is one of the very few two-Michelin starred restaurants in London and today Chef Patron Clare revealed that they're about to start sending restaurant boxes out. The Core at Home menu is being sent out on next weekend, and features many of the restaurant's signatures dishes and is as follows:
- Snacks
- Caviar Gougere
- Colchester crab tart
- Smoked chicken wing, honey, beer and thyme
- Core sourdough and cultured butter
- Mains
- Potato and roe, dulse beurre blanc, herring and trout roe
- Cornish cod, Morecombe Bay shrimps, Swiss chard with brown butter
- Rhug Estate fallow deer with celeriac and black Perigord truffle
- Dessert
- Core apple
- Coreteaser - chocolate, malt and hazelnut
- Passion fruit and Tasmanian mountain pepper
- Custard tart
The whole thing will set you back £175 per person with a minimum two-person order. And it looks as though it'll seriously test your home plating skills. But, based on our Test Drive of Core, we'd highly recommend it for a very special occasion.
