Most recently Turo Turo has been running as a popular food residency at Holborn pub The Queen's Head. But everything's about to change this autumn with the opening of its first permanent restaurant, in Tooting. It's taken over the old Good Neighbour site on Tooting High Street where it'll be opening a Filipino Barbecue and Grill.

Tooting folk looking for a new drinking hole are about to get one in the form of a Taiwanese subterranean bar. Good Measure is opening downstairs from popular spot Daddy Bao and will serve up cocktails with a Taiwanese twist.

The owners have taken inspiration from Taipei's cocktail scene where bars pop up in the most unusual places. Here, in the former storeroom, you'll be drinking

They're already big with their cafe in Balham and now Milk have opened a brand new bakery just down the road towards Tooting Bec called Milk Run. 

If you fancy a Milk pastry to-go, this will be the place for you with croissants, pain au chocolat and more sweet or savoury pastries on offer, as well as sourdough loaves. They also have a small pantry offering drinks, cupboard staples and bags of coffee

Independent cafe Cut The Mustard has been a Tooting success story since 2014 and just before we all entered Tier 3, they managed to launch a second cafe. It's also in Tooting - this time a corner space on Franciscan Road. And the good news is they're doing takeaway.

Their food has been surprising and delighting Londoners for the past four years, but now roaming residency Smoke & Salt are ready to set down permanent roots taking on their first restaurant on Tooting High Street.

Good Neighbour, a popular Camberwell restaurant, is expanding to a second site. Expect sharing plates, great coffee and a big focus on wine (including tastings).

This is a joint venture between The Tapas Room and London Beer Lab, offering ‘pub-style’ tapas, beers, and more. 

Up until now, chicken wing specialists Orange Buffalo have been serving up their wings as street food - but now they're opening their first restaurant in Tooting Broadway. 

This new seafood spot in Tooting Broadway Market combines the freshest seafood with Italian flair making it a street food spot worth checking out.

Burgers and poutine are given a classic French treatment at this Francophile street traders third London opening in Tooting Market.
