Tom Kerridge is taking his Chelsea pub in a new direction, one which has more nods to his best-known pub, The Hand and Flowers. We went along to see what the change has brought about. 

Earlier this week, there was news that Tom Kerridge's Chelsea pub, The Butcher's Tap and Grill was closing, with the team behind it saying it gave them "an opportunity to regroup, rethink and rebuild".

It turns out that they didn't need that much thinking time, because there are already plans to reopen it as a new pub, The Chalk Freehouse.

Tom Kerridge is planning something new for London. The chef has been running Kerridge's Bar & Grill in Corinthia London for nearly five years but for his second place, he's heading west to Chelsea. And this time he's opening a pub.

After making it all the way to the final of last year's Celebrity MasterChef, before losing out to Lisa Snowdon, McFly's Danny Jones has obviously been seriously bitten by the cooking bug. This summer he's doing the double, both performing and cooking when he joins up with Tom Kerridge for this year's Pub in the Park tour.

Big supermarket news today as Marks & Spencer announce a brand new partnership with chef Tom Kerridge. But the chef of Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers isn't launching with some ready meals. Instead he's come up with a meal planner of recipes based on the store's Remarkable Value products.

Next up for Tom Kerridge in London, is a very different type of venture. This time he's teaming up with Mark Emms to create Bad Vegan, which will be coming to the top floor of Camden's Buck Street Market. 

The "bad" part of the name comes from the fact that although the menu will be predominantly vegan - they will actually have non-vegan

It's fair to say chefs and restaurateurs are being pretty cunning when it comes to finding ways to ensure they can reopen on 12 April. Take Tom Kerridge for example.
