Johnny Boy's sees the chef behind Facing Heaven in Hackney opening an LA-inspired diner in Stoke Newington. We went in to try a taste of SoCal food in London.

Last December, after over 30 years, Ryan's Bar closed its doors for good in Stoke Newington. But now the space has been relaunched as a brand new pub, The Mary Wollstonecraft (who, of course, has a fairly memorable sculpture in nearby Newington Green).

The team behind Papi have opened their first pub on Green Lanes. We went in to see just how they have adapted their menu for the pub and it turns out they've done it incredibly well. 

Last month, Papi moved on from their London Fields restaurant, quickly replaced by the soon-to-open Auguste. As part of £5m spent on its restoration, Abney Park in Stoke Newington now has a modern new cafe. The pair behind it are Hackney locals Toby Williams and Lianna Jewell, a husband and wife team. They also run local catering company Sabel Food which has worked on festival food for Lost Village and Wilderness as well as doing events like a birthday bash for Ottolenghi and TV and film shoots.
