New opening

The team behind Chiswick deli and pizzeria, The Italians, are preparing for a Marylebone opening this winter. The Italians' new home on Devonshire Street will be a wine bar and bistro.

As with their Chiswick site, the key thing will be the sourcing of top drawer Italian food and drink. The all Italian wine list will change seasonally and there'll be loads available by the glass. They'll be baking focaccia fresh in-house

Over the past two years, Hide's 'diffusion range' - a cafe called Hideaway - has been popping up in various locations - first in the Burlington Arcade and then, for a longer period, down at Chelsea Barracks. Now Ollie Dabbous and his team are getting ready to open it in a permanent spot on Mount Street.

This new Fullers pub opened at the weekend and is named after the first FA Cup Final to be played at Wembley Stadium - the White Horse Final. The huge new pub on Arena Square takes up two floors and has loads of outside space with a garden on the ground floor and a large terrace

Cinquento pizzeria first opened its doors in Chelsea last Christmas and, during lockdown, expanded with a kitchen in Battersea. Now they're getting ready to open its second eat-in pizzeria, on Portobello Road.

As autumn continues and the temperatures cool, there are still many new openings to look forward to in October.

This modernist French brasserie serves up all the classics and has a very useful downstairs bar too. 

The team behind The Wine Cellar on Highgate's Swain's Lane are opening this new wine bar and kitchen, serving up a wide selection of wines and food designed to go with them.

Next up from Japan centre is a new ramen restaurant, inspired by the Yokocho alleys of Japan and based in Heddon Street. They'll have a range of ramen from across Japan, in a restaurant with a 70s feel. 

Casey's in Clapton used to describe itself as "a microcafe & deli". But now that they've moved into grander premises, maybe that 'micro' tag isn't needed anymore.

As owner Caitlin Dempsey said of their new shop which opened last week on Lower Clapton Road, named after her family shop back in Ireland, "it's an actual bakery/shop/cafe you can walk around and buy things, if you want."
