The low-down
After opening in Fulham pre-Christmas, the people behind Mac & Wild are bringing the indoor cricket club Sixes to Fitzrovia (taking over from the space that once held Villandry).
Much like the indoor golf games you might have seen dotted around the city, or others like the darts-themed Flight Club, this is indoor cricket matched with a bar. So you can book a net for an hour at a time and see just why you should really be taking part in The Ashes this year.
That's all backed up by food (and a separate bar once you're done with the nets) including:
- Coronation bubble & squeak pakoras with sweet mango chutney
- Slow-cooked beef short ribs brushed with honey mustard whiskey BBQ glaze
- Dorset cider steamed mussels - creamed with shallots, leeks and fresh herbs
- The Sixes burger - 14 month aged Yorkshire beef patty topped with smokey onion jam, applewood cheese, crispy onions, pickles, burger sauce
Mac & Wild certainly know their burgers, so that last one should be well worth a look.
