Eagle-eyed Hot Dinners readers have spotted that there are signs of life in the currently empty restaurant site that used to be Neighbourhood on Islington Green. Turns out that it's going to be the next branch of the popular sushi spot Sticks'n'Sushi.
It's a large old space so there's going to be an open plan dining room, space to eat up at the kitchen counter

Lucky Islington residents are about to get a new coffee shop, wine bar and restaurant and an ice cream parlour, all in the space of a month or so. The three businesses by co-founders Alex Young and George de Vos are taking over the old Michael's Den pub on the borders of Islington and De Beauvoir.

Lucky Islington residents will have a very interesting new bakery on their doorstep. Quince Bakery is the brainchild of baker Anna Higham. She ran the bakery at Flor before becoming Executive Pastry Chef at The River Café. So it's fair to say she knows a thing or two about baked goods.
