The arrival of one of New York's great bars to takeover the restaurant at Claridge'shas made the hotel dining room an absolute scene. We made it our business to go down and try a cocktail or two.

Caffe Dante has had quite a history in New York, having originally been established back in 1915. However, its current iteration launched as Dante back in 2015, and the restaurant and  bar have since won heaps of accolades in the decade since.

After 18 months closure, Claridge's has a new restaurant called... Claridges Restaurant. We were first in the door to look at the new room and try the new menu. 

It's been almost eighteen months since Claridge's hotel in Mayfair closed their Davies and Brook restaurant following a disagreement with chef Daniel Humm over the direction it was going in (he wanted to go fully vegan, they weren't so sure). Now, very quietly, the hotel has reopened their signature restaurant space.

If, like us, you've been glued to the TV watching the documentary about Claridge's massive renovation you'll probably be interested to hear that on top of new spa and bedrooms they've just opened up a brand new place to eat. The ArtSpace Café on the ground floor has its own entrance behind the hotel on Brook’s Mews and aims to entice Mayfair folk in for breakfast and lunch.
