Tom Kerridge wins big at the AA Hospitality Awards

tomkerridgeaaIt's definitely awards season again. We've already had the YBFs, the Power 1000 and our personal fave the Scotch Egg Challenge - and now it's the turn of the AA hospitality awards, which were given out last night.

The big winner of the night was the Hand and Flowers which not only got four AA rosettes, but Tom Kerridge was also voted the Chef's Chef of the year.

London winners were a little short on the ground this time around, with the awards being spread across the country. However, Dukes won the best London hotel while Medlar won the best London restaurant. On the rosettes front, four rosettes were also given out to Launceston Place, Alain Ducasse and Murano, while outside of London Gidleigh Park and Midsummer House both got five.

Medlar, Greenhouse, Outlaw's at the Capital, Brasserie Chavot, Halkin and Social Eating House all got awarded three rosettes in London. And while all are certainly deserving - we can't help think that the list seems just a bit on the safe side.

It's the big one next, as Michelin get ready to reveal the new London Michelin stars on Thursday. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed as we'll have the story up as soon as we get it.
