Breakfast wine, deep-fried oyster baguettes and vermouth gelato - The Remedy is launching a new all-day menu, and it’s an absolute corker.
So what's on offer? While the fresher-faced among us will be able to grab everything a conscientious worker would want first thing - flakey pastries, homemade granola, freshly pressed juices and coffee - they’ll also be serving "breakfast tipple in morning-friendly 50ml measures." Truly the best remedy of all for the morning after the night before. Or just a really fun way to start your day, depending on your point of view.
Lunch time will see the arrival of some intriguing sandwiches, such as the English Po’boy, a reworking of the sloppy Louisana seafood sub, and will come with deep fried oysters, cod and remoulade on a baguette. Yes it does sound amazing.
The Chipolata ciabatta, a tribute to Italian street food, will come stuffed with fresh sausage, taleggio and rapini. There’ll also be the Sicilian-inspired Panecunzato with gooey mortadella, sundried tomatoes and olives on rosemary focaccia.
For pudding, there’ll be Antica Formula Vermouth gelato, whipped up in collaboration with Nonna’s Gelato, and dark porter chocolate cake. Those looking for slightly less alcohol in their desserts can opt for the more traditional fior de latte gelato, and knock-out strength coffee thanks to Climpsons and Sons.
We know where we’re off to the next time we have a hangover.
The menu starts next week with a soft launch from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21 October 2016 from 8am-3pm, with 50% off food. To book call 020 3489 3800 or go to their website.
