Stoke Newington's White Hart launches no cutlery Dirty Dining night

dirtydiningWell, it had to happen. The natural extension of dude food and street food on the high street is dispensing with cutlery altogether.

The White Hart in Stoke Newington is launching a monthly event called Dirty Dining - what they're describing as "No-Cutlery, Dirty Hands Feast".

For the first night in August the pub will be transformed into a beer, bourbon and BBQ joint where dishes chosen deliberately for their messy qualities will be served. The dinner kicks off with three appetizers of Devilled Eggs, Fried Green Tomatoes and Burnt Ends Vol-au-Vants. Mains are Smoked Baby back Pork Ribs and Smoked Beef Ribs, followed by Chicken Wings, Bacon Sausages, Baked Potatoes, Grilled Corn on the Cob and Bread Rolls served with Red Eye Gravy, BBQ Sauce and Ranch Dressing, plus Bread & Butter Pickles.

Finally for dessert there'll be Crack Pie (Oreo cookie base, mint chocolate ganache, salted pretzels, whipped cream and drizzled salted caramel). For £30 you'll also get a bourbon based cocktail on arrival and a bottle of craft beer served with the mains, plus a punchy pickle-back at the end.

The first Dirty Dining event takes place at The White Hart on Wednesday 6th August at 7.30pm Tickets cost £30 and can be purchased here.
