Patty&Bun to open on Liverpool Street

patty8/8 - updated with launch details - free burgers!

There'll be a lot of happy burger fanatics at today's news that Patty&Bun have confirmed the opening of their second site. The new place at 22-23 Liverpool Street is going to be even smaller than their current one behind Selfridges, with just 20 seats.

As you might expect, right in the heart of the Square Mile it's going to focus on feeding the massive lunchtime market with takeaways so there'll be a counter to order at and then a space for order pick-ups. "Think a banging VIBING little McD’s type shack," they say. "Quality burgers at SPEED."

We also like the 'bring it to the big boys' attitude as they'll be right opposite what is apparently the busiest McDonalds in the country. The menu in their City branch will include Patty&Bun classics such as the Ari Gold and the Smokey Robinson but will also have a new hot sticky glazed hot wing addition. At opening, it'll be soft drinks only with booze to follow later on.

This is one opening you'll want to keep a keen eye out for as they're promising to repeat their ‘No Such Thing As A Free Lunch’ offering, giving out free burgers throughout their first day of business.

Patty&Bun will open at 22-23 Liverpool Street, EC2 on April 22. They’ll be giving away 1,000 burgers from the opening at 11.30am. Prepare for a queue!
