Byron launches MO burger for this year's Movember

moburgerIt's that time of the year when men's minds turn to wondering what manner of fanciful facial appendage they'll be growing next month. That's right - it's nearly Movember. This global movement held every year to raise funds (and awareness) for men's health issues has had a lot of support from London's food world, none moreso than burger joint Byron.

2012 will be the third year Byron have come up with a limited Movember burger, the purchasing of each will see Byron donate 50p to the cause.

This year's burger - the aptly post-Olympics named MO burger will be a classic American cheeseburger with a twist: a Byron hamburger patty topped with Cheddar cheese, served with pickled red onion rings, salted cucumber slices, sliced iceberg lettuce and mustard dill dressing, inside a sesame seed glazed bun. This meaty marvel will set you back £8.75 and will be available at all Byron restaurants from November 1st to 30th - including the new Byron Spitalfields, which is due to open on 6th October.

But that's not all. Byron are going one further, and will give any registered ‘Mo Bros’ and ‘Mo Sistas’ who raise over £25 a free hamburger, chicken burger, veggie burger or main course salad between 3-6pm every day for two weeks, from November 7th-20th inclusive.

‘Over the past two years, we’ve raised more than £60,000 for Movember and given away over 15,000 free hamburgers as a thank you,' says Byron founder Tom Byng.
