A first look at Sushisamba, opening at the top of the Heron Tower

A first look at Sushisamba, opening at the top of the Heron TowerAs the weather finally perks up in London, what better time to hear of a new restaurant with not one but two spectacular terraces? We've known that SUSHISAMBA was opening at the top of the Heron tower (just opposite Liverpool Street) for a while but this is our first chance to find out what's planned (along with some artist's imagery).

The two terraces will flank the restaurant and both promise to offer fantastic views of the city. Food-wise, the Executive Chef will be Jeffrey Kipp (previously at Daylesford Organic and Gordon Ramsay’s Royal Hospital Road) who will be overseeing SUSHISAMBA's mix of Brazilian (churrasco and moqueca), Japanese (tempura and sushi) and the so-on-trend Peruvian (anticuchos and ceviches) cuisines.  There will also be a cocktail bar that will feature shochu, cachaça and premium sake alongside the main drinks menu.

SUSHISAMBA has been a big hit in the US and this is their first UK restaurant - but that's not all the company has planned for the Heron Tower.  So while SUSHISAMBA will take up the 38th and 39th floor, they'll be opening another new restaurant on the top floor.  We'll have news of that very soon - along with brand new photos.

Sushisamba opens on the second week of July (with a soft launch the week before) at the top of the Heron Tower on 110 Bishopsgate, EC2.
