New faces and returning favourites

This year, there will be over 30 restaurants at Taste of London, and between them, they'll be serving up over 130 dishes. Our advice would be to sharpen your appetite before you go.

Every year sees some brand-new restaurants appearing at Taste of London for the first time, and this summer's festival is no exception. Take a tour around the world with DakaDaka serving up up modern Georgian food, there'll be Japanese influences from Mayfair's hugely popular Sexy Fish and authentic regional Indian food from Pahli Hill Bandra Bhai. And if you haven't yet tried the Basque food at Belgravia pub Prince Arthur, they're making their Taste debut this year alongside Gallio, Ixchel, Aram by Imad and more.

For those of you who make a point of heading to Taste every summer, be sure to look out for returning favourites. Los Mochis, Roti King, Dumpling's Legend and the Big Mamma Group will all be back for more.

Chef demos and masterclasses

Alongside the restaurants, there's the return of live demos and masterclasses at spaces like the Taste Fire Pit, where you'll find rapper and gourmet guy Big Zuu, award-winning writer and cook Melissa Thompson and influencers @lagomchef and Christina Sots of Ottolenghi.

Over at the BBQ Cook School, look out for Nathaniel Mortley (aka NattyCanCook), who turned his life around after prison and launched the hugely successful Caribbean restaurant 2210. Helen Graham (ex-Bubala) will also be firing up the grill, cooking up Middle-Eastern-inspired dishes alongside chefs Chantelle Nicholson of Apricity and Sally Abé, who's just opened her first solo venture in Hackney.

There's a Caribbean influence at this year's British Airways Holidays Cook School with a scorching line-up of chefs representing Barbados, St Kitts, Tobago and Grenada. And if all that makes you yearn for white sands and blue seas, head to The British Airways Holidays Caribbean Islands Market, which is an immersive experience bringing the Caribbean experience to the heart of London.
