Canopy is taking over Olympia's rooftop, fitting in Mexican, Japanese and British restaurants and a food hall too

We've already had the launch of Pillar Hall at the revamped Olympia, but that was only the start of all that's happening there. With two hotels and a big entertainment venue to come, there will also be a new destination rooftop that has four distinct parts to it. 

This is the latest opening from the Incipio Group, the people behind Pergola (in Canary Wharf and Brixton) and another west London hit, The Prince, and this time it looks like they're going bigger than ever before. 

First up is Bar Arriba. For this new opening, they're taking a Mexican-inspired approach. So that means a menu with tacos like achiote-marinated octopus, Baja fish or al pastor pork alongside bigger dishes like Chipotle beef short rib, not to mention a bottomless brunch on Saturdays. 

Next is Wolves of Tokyo. That's a Japanese restaurant inside, paired with a big rooftop cocktail bar (fitting in around 200 on the roof). The Head Chef comes from Roka and the approach of the restaurant sounds not too dissimilar to the Rokas and Nobus of the world, covering everything from sushi and sashimi to A5 Kagoshima wagyu served with bone marrow and garlic confit. Meanwhile the rooftop will have and izakaya-style menu and Japanese-infpienced cocktails. 

Then there's Lillie's. That's a wine bar and restaurant focused on British produce and English sparkling wines. So you'll be able to pair Salt Marsh lamb cutlets or a lobster roll with wines from key English producers. They'll also be serving afternoon tea up here. 

And finally, you'll also find Arbour. That's a new food-hall style opening, with food promised from Fry Baby (fried chicken), The Rambler (salads), Whammy (burgers) and Café Modo (cofee and pastries). 

And for all the spaces on the roof, there will be either covered sections or a fully retractable roof (with heaters if needed in this lovely climate of ours), and they're promising "panoramic skyline views".
