Slayer is Notting Hill's new pizza slice shop, from the folks behind Eggbreak

Notting Hill continues to hoover up much of the interesting restaurant openings this year with the news that they're about to get a new slice shop on top of everything else. Slayer is a pizza-by-the-slice operation that's being opened up by the same team behind the area's popular brunch spot Eggbreak.

They're describing it as "a love letter to NYC pizza culture" which is something we can certainly get behind. That'll mean serving up those NYC-style crispy base pizzas. Adding to the equation, they're only going to be making 25 pizzas a day, which will make getting hold of one of the oversized slices a bit of a bunfight.

The chef manning the pizza oven is Naples-born Angelo Cassata who'll be serving up classic pizzas like pepperoni and vodka alongside house specials like "The 226" for meat lovers and desserts like tiramisu, housemade soft serve and a fondant cookie. And if you're dining in rather than grabbing to go there'll be cocktails, craft brews and an Italian-only wine list.
