Latest into the restaurant box fray are two heavyweights - Jason Atherton and Michel Roux Jr. They've teamed up with Lake District Farmers (just as Sally Abe did back in Lockdown 1.0) for two new meal boxes that they're preparing in their own restaurant kitchens.
The first is Le Gavroche At Home - at £125 for two and their box is a first for the restaurant. It kicks off with:
- Sourdough Rolls & Netherend Farm Butter
- Salmon Gravadlax, Horseradish Dressing & Beetroot Tartare
- Braised Venison Haunch with Red Wine & Medlar Jus
- Mashed Potato, Ceps with Garlic & Parsley, Roasted Black Cabbage
- Dark Chocolate & Praline Indulgence
- Passion Fruit Jellies
Next up is Jason Atherton's At Home at £140 for two. That starts with :
- Hedone bread and butter
- Cured Loch Duart Salmon, Lemon Gel, Finger Lime and Ponzu Dressing, Pickled Cucumber, Fluffy Gem Lettuce
- Cote Du Beouf, Mac and Cheese, Beef Fat Carrots, Truffle Dressed Beans, Bone Marrow Sauce
- Crème Caramel, Miso Caramel, Fruit Garnish, Cooked Quince
The menus will change weekly and are both finish-at-home jobs, and you can also add on extra meat cuts from the Lake District Farmers at the same time.
